Introducing Ben Kennedy - Head of Sales - United Kingdom and Ireland

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Kennedy – Head of Sales – United Kingdom and Ireland. 07-08-2023

Ben brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise and will spearhead our growth strategy across UK and Ireland.

We interviewed Ben to hear more about his experiences from within the industry, how perceives the strength of the Fusion brand within the market, detail what his plans are for the development of the sales team and how he plans to drive growth within UK and Ireland.

Can you share your experience in the industry and how it prepared you for your new position at Fusion Group?

I started by career in the polyethylene pipeline industry in 2008, and since then I’ve worked in various aspects of businesses from technical to product development and customer focussed sales.

These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the industry, the needs of our customers and the importance of innovation within our sector.

I strongly believe that this will be invaluable in my new role at Fusion Group and this will help move the company forward.

How do you see the synergy between your experience and Fusion Group’s mission and values?

Fusion Group and AVK’s commitment to innovation, quality and customer first aligns perfectly with my own values and experiences.

I have always believed in the importance of delivering high-quality solutions to meet the needs of our customers and I really see Fusion Group as a platform to continue this good work.

How do you perceive the strength of the Fusion Group brand within the market?

Fusion Group has a long-standing reputation within the pipeline industry as a market leader.

With its commitment to innovation and quality, this sets us apart from the rest.

I believe our strong branding position will be a key asset to the continued growth and expansion of the business.

What are your plans for developing a sales team in the UK and Ireland?

My plan is to build a team that is not only skilled in sales but also deeply knowledgeable in the products and the needs of our customers.

I believe in the importance of training and personal development to be key.  Therefore, I plan to implement a comprehensive training programme for all of the team to ensure we are always at the forefront of industry knowledge to allow us to keep our customers more accurately informed.

This approach will allow us to offer our customers the best possible service and continued support from Fusion Group.

How do you plan to drive growth within UK and Ireland?

One area I believe holds great potential for growth is the development of our current distribution network and partners.

I believe that building strong, mutually beneficial relationships is crucial to driving this sales growth.

This involves understanding the needs and most importantly, the challenges of our distribution partners and supplying them with high-quality products and the support that goes with them.  Also working collaboratively with our distribution partners to identify new opportunities and new areas of work.

Leveraging my existing relationships and industry knowledge will be instrumental in this expansion process.
